DJI’s OSMO, Your 4k Hand Held Steady Dream
DJI announced late 2 weeks ago that their long shown 4k hand held gimbal camera was finally coming to market and it’s called OSMO. It’ll features 4k up to 30fps, 1080p 120fps, motorized hand held gimbal, auto panorama, live feed to mountable smartphone, audio recording, formats, modes, and TONS more features!!! Seriously, this thing is packed with a lot to show off. It’s pretty expensive though. It’ll be launching in a few bundles but the main one you’d want to go to as a new owner is going to set you back $650. The OSMO is available for pre-purchase and will be shipping on Nov 2nd. However their are several people outside the states who received theirs nearly a week ago. The bundles are a little confusing though. So I’ll quickly post below what to expect from the base model and what your other options are.
The main bundle that retails for $650 will Get you the camera, hand held gimbal, carrying case, smart phone mount, battery, and charger.
If you have an Inspire 1, you already have the camera that comes with the hand held gimbal. In this scenario though you’ll want to pick up the $210 bundle that has just the gimbal, charger, and battery. You’ll need to pick up your smart phone extension and other premium experiences separately.
I’m still on the fence if I’m going to be able to pick one up this holiday season but I’m really curious to try one out. Find out more details from DJI here or watch there embedded promotion video above.
